Design improves society. It enables the realization of a culturally rich, beautiful and fulfilling life grounded in humanity. To achieve this, we must look at the current situation, the past and the future, discerning what we truly need. From there, we translate that vision into concrete products and services. Our office assists throughout this entire process, turning deep insight into impactful reality.

Sosuke Nakabo: Graduated from Kyoto City University of Arts and the Design Products course at the Royal College of Art for the MA. He worked at the Panasonic Design Centre, the Planning and Design Department of MUJI, and Jasper Morrison’s London Office. After returning to Japan, he established Sosuke Nakabo Design Office in Kyoto. While working as a product designer, he served as an associate professor at Kyoto Institute of Technology and the Head of Design at MUJI among other roles. Currently a visiting professor at Kyoto City University of Arts and a jury member of the Good Design Award.

中坊壮介：京都市立芸術大学デザイン科卒業。英国Royal College of Art、Design Products科修了。松下冷機デザインセンター、無印良品企画デザイン室、Jasper MorrisonのLondon Officeに勤務し、帰国後京都にSosuke Nakabo Design Officeを設立。プロダクトデザイナーとして活動する傍ら、京都工芸繊維大学大学院准教授、無印良品企画デザイン室長等を歴任。京都市立芸術大学客員教授、グッドデザイン賞審査委員。
